Welcome to Stewarts Special School

Stewarts School caters for students with moderate, severe and profound general learning difficulties. Many of our students present with additional needs including, autism, sensory difficulties, physical and medical. A high number of our students are also on the autistic spectrum. The school seeks through education to provide each individual student with the relevant and appropriate opportunities and experiences to reach their full potential and become valued and active members within our society.

The school is currently closed due to the Covid-19 Emergency. Class teachers are supporting students remotely. Please see the STUDENT CORNER in the NEWS and EVENTS section of this site for some other ideas or check us out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We wish our students who have graduated this year every happiness and hope to celebrate with them in the future. We look forward to welcoming new students and seeing all our returning students in September. We will continue to make the changes and necessary preparations for the reopening of the school, the health safety and wellbeing of our students staff and school community being our priority. School is due to re-open on Monday August 31st and students will return to the current school buildings. Our new school building is nearing completion and we hope to have an update for you at the end of August regarding a ‘moving in’ date.
